Marta, our student of the week, had doubts about what to study until the last minute. When she was a child, she did not have a clear idea and thought about anything from law to engineering. From the 3rd year of ESO he saw that he was attracted to the sanitary branch. She tried to enroll in Biomedicine, but she fell one tenth short of getting in and fate had something better in store for her: she got a degree in Medicine and she couldn’t be happier.

She loves patient contact and sees herself as a surgeon in the future. Next week she will see her first surgery live and is really excited. The health vein does not run in her family, it has been a vocation she has found for herself: “When I see doctors what I feel is admiration”. This has always been the case, but even more so in the wake of the pandemic. Marta comes from Malaga and arrived at the residence last year with her friend Silvia, classmate in 1st and 2nd year of Bachillerato. Marta and Silvia share a double room for the second year: “Living together is going great; when we were thinking of coming to Seville and to a residence, one pulled the other. We encourage each other and we are very happy”.

What she likes the most about the resi is that “there is a very good vibe and we get along great”. When he started this second year he felt the residence was so much his own that when he saw the new residents he thought “What are all these new people doing in my house?” but after a few days he already considered them other new members of the Camplus Sevilla family.

It was always clear to him that at 18 he wanted to try the experience of leaving his home and Malaga. She has been in love with Seville since she was a child and, curiously, after leaving Malaga she now values her own city more. “When I lived in Malaga I used to say I was in love with Seville, but now that I’ve left I know I’m in love with my city. Sometimes he misses the promenade or having some boquerones and tapas with his family in his father’s bar, although he also loves a beer in the Sevillian neighborhood of Santa Cruz.

She loves traveling and getting to know the people and their towns. He also likes to read a lot and has confessed to us that he writes poetry… Although he doesn’t show it to anyone.
