Martina Ollé

Martina, nuestra alumna de la semana, estudia Ingeniería biomédica en la UPNA. He had a hard time finding the right career; She liked the health sector, also Mathematics… One of her friends, who studied in Pamplona and lived in Camplus! She told him about Biomedical Engineering and he was attracted to the curriculum. The cut-off mark was high and he had to work hard in Baccalaureate!

She is in her second year and already has a clear idea of where to focus; she is attracted to the biomedical part of the career and not so much to the computer science part.

It’s taking a lot of effort: “There are some very complicated subjects. I like the career, but it is so hard that sometimes I hesitate!” She often studies in the residence’s library to keep her company and not get tired!

She is one of the teachers of the Mentoring in Biomedical Engineering and Telecommunications: “Last year the mentors helped me a lot, that’s why I decided to collaborate. Of course, it is much more difficult to be a mentor than a mentee! Sometimes the encouragement we give them is more important than what we can teach them.

Her great hobby is tennis. She has practiced it since she was a child. She has recently been to the Caja Magica tournament in Madrid, and loved it! Last year she played at UPNA, but this year she has parked it. She is part of the resi’s indoor soccer team, which has qualified for the quarterfinals of the Rectora Trophy, and she gives her all there too!

She also loves to travel. Her father worked in Vietnam and she lived there for two years. She fell in love with the country, although she could not go out on the streets “just like that”! She also lived alone for a year in the USA, an experience that helped her to become more independent. In the summer she will go on an Interrail trip with her friends through Europe, and she’s already counting the days left!

She is reserved, observant and very responsible. Friend of her friends, she knows how to wrap up and be tucked in!
