Irene, our student of the week, is directly outraged by injustice. Studying social work seemed to him to be the best roadmap for the future, to do her bit in building a better world: “It is a way to get closer to utopia, to vindicate the rights of people, privileged or not. I want to fight for everything we deserve as a society”. Her decision was very well thought out, and she even contrasted it with an expert in university orientation and talent management, Jesusa García, creator of the company Jes&Young, who helped him to clarify it. I wanted to be sure to take the right step! And she gave it. Irene is a fighter with a lot of determination: “I have a strong character. I try very hard to achieve my goals, I’m also stubborn…”
These qualities help her a lot in the sport she practices: rowing. Irene is in a first division team, the team from San Sebastian. It’s a sport she is very enthusiastic about: “In the trawler we take great care of each other. We know that we are all fighting for a common goal, which we can achieve with the contribution of each one of us. We are all essential and we have to support each other. It’s a very friendly atmosphere.
What attracts her most to rowing is the physical and mental demands. Because she is very competitive and loves to excel! She trains very hard to earn a spot on the team. We can attest to this, she is a regular face at our gym! In addition to sports, she is very fond of the “creative theme”. She is currently passionate about crochet! It entertains and relaxes you. She is a sociable person and has not found it difficult to adapt to Pamplona: “I love the city and in the residence I have made an incredible group of friends”. Irene is not a person who goes unnoticed. It stands out for its authenticity and strength of character, almost as much as for its look. Because Irene is a redhead, she has spectacular hair! When she was a child she didn’t like it, but now she does. It is a distinguishing feature. For people with personality, like her!
