Uxue, our student of the week, was very clear that she would study nursing. She had to work hard in high school to get a good average and access the UPNA, in the Basque language: “I think there is no better profession for me than nursing. It is very vocational. I love helping others, it makes me feel fulfilled. If I can achieve it with my work, I achieve my happiness and that of others!” She is finding the course hard, as she has a lot more subjects than in high school, but since she likes the content, she is happy! She has also found it easy to adapt: “I’m very happy here. I am in one of my best moments. The people in Pamplona are wonderful! At the beginning I spent several days socializing non-stop, you invest a lot of energy! The residence has helped me a lot. You treat us like a family. The facilities are also great, I spend all day in the workroom! It’s the best residence I could have chosen.
She misses a bit the sea of her beloved Hondarribia. She enjoys swimming and active life, although he is also a contemplative person. Her main hobby is writing. She dreams of publishing a book in the future. Madera de escritora has been the winner of our micro-story contest! She is also attracted to volunteer work. She has collaborated as a sociocultural animator with children and would love to continue to do her bit in other areas, even in other countries!
She considers herself embarrassed and believes that the experience of studying away from home has been “a great opportunity” to open up more. She is very attached to her family and her dog Negu! Fortunately, Pamplona is close by and you can return home when you need to. She is a very sensitive and very empathetic person, pure sweetness! She is one of those people who are definitely worth getting to know!
