Iskander Suescun

Iskander, our student of the week, was called, from his cradle, to study the career he has chosen. Its name is a Turkish adaptation of “Alexander”, in reference to Alexander the Great, and evokes strength and protection.

Iskander knows all about the etymology of his name and the legendary past! Because he is passionate about History and, in particular, Mythology and Archaeology. He could spend hours and hours recounting myths he knows from classical antiquity! Yours is a photographic memory and that helps a lot!

He loves to read, especially the classics and especially those that talk about mythology. “The Odyssey” he has read it four times and in different versions!

He is not only passionate about classical literature. He also likes to write his own adaptations, based on ancient myths: “I borrow some ideas and build stories”.

Naturally, Iskander has always wanted to study history. He is in his third year at UNAV and already has to decide what he will do when he finishes… He wants to specialize in Archaeology. He has already had the opportunity to participate in two excavations and has loved the experience! His mother is an architect and he has always been “linked to stone”.

He is from Alava and is very acclimated to Pamplona. He has been helped by the support of his cousins, who are also campluseros! First we were lucky enough to have his cousin David and now he shares the experience with Telmo and Oscar. In the residence, he feels very well cared for and has made good friends.

No wonder. Iskander is friendly and easy-going, a great conversationalist and a 100% reliable person: “I consider myself a loyal person, a good friend to the one who treats me well”. This is his third year at Camplus and he has earned, on his own merit, a place in our hearts!!!!
