Rebeca Fernandez

Rebeca, our student of the week, has always liked the healthcare sector. A close family member was ill when she was a child and she loved seeing how she was cared for. She thought: it must be very nice to take care of people who are suffering…. One day, a friend of his mother’s, who is a nurse, invited her to spend an afternoon at the hospital. It was a decisive experience for her, she understood that she had found her vocation.

Pamplona was a good option, as it was close to Vitoria. Because she is very attached to her family and did not want to move away: “I still cry sometimes when I say goodbye to my father. When I go back to Vitoria, I have no trouble turning down plans with friends to enjoy time with my family”.

In the residence she soon felt at home, thanks in part to her roommate, they are flesh and blood! “When I applied to Camplus, there were no single rooms available. The waiting list was long, so I opted for the double room. To date, I think I couldn’t have been luckier! Sara and I have a lot of affinity. We study the same degree, we like the same music, the same sport…. And watch out for the sign! She was born on February 27, the date I was due to be born! The delivery was a few days earlier in my case, but we were almost born at the same time! We are inseparable, next year we will share the same room again”.

She considers herself to be very sporty. She has always practiced rhythmic gymnastics and athletics. She is now part of Camplus Pamplona’s indoor soccer and basketball teams. She is delighted with both teams, they are very close! What’s more, they have reached the final of the Rector’s Trophy in basketball! Even though she had never played basketball before! She is lively, likes to try new sports, new experiences. You don’t know if you like it if you don’t try it!

Studying away from home is really helping her to mature and become more autonomous. She is considered very sensitive, also sociable when she gains confidence. She transmits innocence and sweetness, Rebeca is a sunshine!
