On Sunday we decided to organize a different and very motivating sport activity for the students: a kayak trip on the Arga River. In this way, our students could get to know Pamplona and its surroundings from a different perspective, enjoying nature and autumn.
The Pamplona City Council, through the Canoeing School “Molino de Caparroso” offers the possibility of kayak descents as an educational and, at the same time, very entertaining activity. The starting point of the route is the footbridges of the Arga River. Then follow the course of the river up to the Curtidores bridge, next to the Corralillos del Gas.
The kayak descent allowed our students to enjoy the sensations of navigating the river and descending the dams. They learned about its flora and fauna, made up of marine animals and birds that coexist in this natural space. They were also able to appreciate the exceptional views of the parks, bridges, footbridges, palaces and rehabilitated mills, which follow one after the other on both banks of the river.
To carry out the activity, we were provided with all the necessary equipment (kayaks, paddles, vests, helmets and wetsuits), as well as liability and accident insurance coverage. We also had the help of qualified monitors, who accompanied us throughout the afternoon. It was a special and different Sunday for our residents, who returned very happy, excited and satisfied.
