The school year is coming to an end and, with it, the Student of the Week section. And we do it with Bea, a passionate about medicine. She has always been clear about her vocation. In Germany, where he lived, she did an internship with a pediatrician. She was thus able to confirm that she did indeed want to study medicine! “I have always been excited about the Sciences, especially Anatomy and Biology. I love Medicine because it contributes to improving people’s lives.”
Bea had a very enriching childhood. She studied at a European College near Frankfurt and was able to make friends from all over the world. She was motivated to pursue a career in Spain, her parents are Spanish and she has family in Madrid and the Canary Islands. She liked the UNAV approach, because the first two years of Medicine can be taken in English: “At home we have always spoken Spanish, but it is easier for me to study in English, I am more used to it”.
To date, she is delighted. She feels very close to the rest of the medical students in the residency: “We have become inseparable. Almost all my friends are from Medicine, although I also spend many hours with the Engineering students in the Study Room of the residency. With friendships I have been very lucky, everything has worked out so well!”
This year she has collaborated as a teacher in the Mentoring of Medicine of the resi: “First is the most difficult course. The veterans made it very easy for me and I wanted to do it this year. I love helping and I had a great time teaching!”
Her main hobby is tennis, although she has also practiced ballet. She also loves to play the piano. She considers herself a sociable, focused and clear-thinking person. Also very responsible! In Pamplona she is happy: “I remember Germany, although I am very happy in Spain. I feel part of there, as I am here! I’m very grateful for the life I’m leading, for the career, the friendships I’ve made…” A 10 for Bea’s ability to adapt and overcome!
