Angel, our student of the week, took a long time to choose a career. He loved Science, Biology was his first choice. On the other hand, he was attracted to the business world and considered the possibility of studying law and business administration.
His doubts were dispelled when he discovered that the @unav offered the Science and Business Program. The objective of the degree is to acquire not only knowledge in the field of Biology, but also a specialization in the field of scientific-technological business. In addition, the degree includes subjects in English, which allowed him to reinforce the language.
Now he knows that he made the right decision, since he is passionate about biology, but he does not see himself working in a laboratory, but in a company related to the scientific field.
The first year seemed a bit generic to him, but this second year he is happy, because he is already studying the subjects he likes and the career is becoming more practical.
He feels very comfortable in Pamplona, as it is a city of similar dimensions to his hometown, Santander: “I wanted to study in a medium-sized city, like Pamplona or Salamanca. Many of my friends went to Madrid and it takes them an hour and a half to get there. I can walk to the university, which I love.
In fact, he admits that he adapted very quickly: “In the first week I had already made friends and knew my way around the city.
He also says he is happy with the residence: “Camplus was my first choice and almost the only one! I like that the residence is coeducational and that there are students from different universities, it is very enriching. It is also in the center of town, not far away on campus.
In part, he thinks that his adaptation was influenced by the fact that he is an outgoing and independent person. Of course, in the first instance he is considered shy, until he gains confidence!
In his free time he likes to be with his friends, but he also enjoys being alone, he likes walking and hiking. He always takes his camera with him, he loves to photograph landscapes and people!
This year he is teaching in the Biology and Biochemistry Mentorship at the resi. He volunteered because last year he felt very supported by his mentors: “We kept in touch with them because we got along very well and they were very supportive. This year I wanted to be the one to give the new students a hand.
Not surprisingly, Angel is a collaborative and willful guy. He likes to help other people. He is one of those students who always adds up!
