If you’re a medical student interested in surgery, don’t miss the opportunity to participate in the Interactive Surgery Sessions, which will take place from March 20th to 22nd. We’re inviting you; all you need is the desire and interest to learn!
If you enjoy dancing and socializing, don’t miss the Zumba classes we’ll be holding every Tuesday afternoon this second semester. The start has been more than promising! Release tension and enjoy some time together—you’re sure to focus better afterward!
We love Valentine’s Day because it’s the perfect occasion to celebrate the friendship of Camplus La Campana. This year’s celebration of love included a flood of sweets, Valentine’s-style food, a giant board with messages of love between students, and a photocall of love. We can safely say that Valentine’s Day at Camplus La Campana is in full swing!
We celebrated another edition of the Camplusera La Campana Gala, which our students organize at a famous Pamplona nightclub. There was also a tasting dinner, dancing, and an awards ceremony for the students who have excelled the most during the first few months of the school year. Without a doubt, it was an occasion to celebrate, share, and celebrate Campanism!
As if the Halloween creative display weren’t enough, our students also wanted to celebrate the beauty of Christmas. The rooms were decorated with Christmas motifs, illuminating the residence hall and encouraging collaboration—and healthy rivalry!—among the residents of each corridor. This time, the prize went to the ground floor of Blocks A and B, where Ángela, Marina, Carla, and Elena took home the coveted trophy.
Halloween is always a great opportunity for our students to unleash their creative side and add their own «evil touch» to the residence hall. The winners of the «Scariest Corridor» contest were the third floor of Blocks A and B, who impressed us, as well as terrified, with their free interpretation of «The Bell Orphanage!»
As every year, our three 7-a-side and indoor soccer teams will compete against the other Rectora Trophy participants in a competition that promises excitement and entertainment! We’re counting on your support in the stands!
Last year, we launched the Mus Tournament at Camplus La Campana, an initiative that’s definitely here to stay! This year, it generated a lot of excitement, exceeding all expectations in terms of the number of participants. The trophy went to the hands of veteran and «super-engineering» students, Sergio and Rubi. After all, experience counts!
The welcome party was truly memorable! We had one of Pamplona’s hottest nightclub DJs playing live music, causing a real stir! The catered dinner and conversation time were also a very special time to get to know each other and socialize!
Camplus La Campana’s study programs are progressing favorably! This year, the Mentoring Program in Industrial, Electrical, and Mechanical Engineering has been strengthened; Biomedical Engineering, Telecommunications, and Computer Engineering have been consolidated; both programs in Economics and Business, both national and international, have expanded; we are maintaining Biology and Biochemistry, also with a Business option; and the Mentoring Program in Biotechnology and Data Science has been strengthened. Furthermore, the Mentoring Program in Medicine has been split into two groups, given the number of students, and this year we have another new program, the Mentoring Program in Nursing. It’s a great opportunity to «learn from the best» and bond with students in your field.
At Camplus La Campana, we’re fans of hatha yoga! Yoga improves concentration, helps relieve stress from studies, prevents injuries, and tones the body. This year, we’re resuming the three groups from last year: two in the afternoon and the third in the morning. Are you going to miss it?
We’re starting the 2024-25 academic year with renewed energy! To help you get to know our students, here’s a brief summary: this year, the most represented areas at Camplus La Campana are Medicine (18%) and Engineering (12%). We also have more international students than ever, with 15% of our students from abroad coming from 22 countries. And regionally, we’re in good company! La Campana rings in more than 30 Spanish regions!
Some come and some go… Our students finish their exams and return home, making room for the summer groups that will be joining us in the coming weeks. The first batch comes from the USA: 50 students from Kansas, Carolina, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and New York, among other destinations. Welcome home!!!
Camplus Pamplona’s 1st Ping Pong Tournament has been a great success! We have had more than 50 participants, who have worked hard for several months to win the coveted trophy! This one has gone far away, to Galicia, thanks to Jorge, a student of the Superior Grade in Music, who has shown us that his skills are not limited to the violin. Next year we will repeat the tournament, more and better!
Before heading into the dreaded exams, we wanted to celebrate an unforgettable end-of-year party. It has certainly been amazing! We had live music by our DJ Rebeca, who gave us the best songs from her repertoire, and an exceptional rap duo, our students Diego and Rodrigo, acclaimed by the audience! There was also a tasting dinner and a 360-degree video photomaton, which was the highlight of the evening.
This course has been incredibly positive and we wanted to record a video reminder of the year and, above all, of our protagonists, the students! It would not have been possible without the involvement of no less than 25 volunteers! Do you want to see it? Stay tuned, you’ll see soon…!
As has become a tradition, we wanted to celebrate Women’s Day by organizing a Micro-Story Contest. For the second consecutive year, the winner was Uxue, a 2nd year nursing student at the UPNA, who in addition to her health skills, has demonstrated great creative talent!
Several Camplus medical students have participated in the Surgery Conference (JOICE), which we sponsor every year. We are delighted to collaborate in an event organized by students, with a very educational theoretical-practical approach. In addition to lectures by leading experts, first-year students have the opportunity to participate in workshops in which real surgeries are simulated. Certainly a very enriching experience.
One of the new features of this course is the collaboration with the INNOVA group, made up of students who organize discussions with professionals in the fields of business and entrepreneurship. As part of this initiative, we heard from Pablo Sánchez, co-founder of the In3ator project, a platform that promotes low-cost baby incubators in developing countries. It was an extremely interesting event, both from an entrepreneurial perspective and as a startup, as well as from a social action perspective.
